Cheers and Jeers

TV Guide does a section every week called 'Cheers & Jeers' which calls out things they like and dislike on TV the previous week. I decided I want to try it too.

Jeers to The Secret Life of the American Teenager for having a young couple say 'i love you' after one date. Although the show does have actors who ACTUALLY look like high school kids (which is rare to find), this early 'i love you' makes this show annoying and ridiculous. Those words should never be uttered by a 15-year-old. And for the over use and emphasis on the word Christian. I get it, they're religious. Let's move on.

Cheers to Weeds for being always amazing. Specifically this week, for juice boxes. Guillermo makes me laugh every time he opens his mouth, I hope he is on the show forever. Also, for Doug remembering that he has a son, who hasn't been mentioned since season 1. Thanks Weeds for making me feel like you remember your earlier seasons.
(side note: I just found out this week that the actor who plays Guillermo (name in real life: Guillermo) is gay. I was amazed. He plays a bad-ass drug dealer, the least likely person to be gay. Never in a million years would I have guessed, go Guillermo for being an amazing actor. I asked him to be my friend on myspace, that's how much I <3 him)

Cheers to Burn Notice for being funnier than i remember. The chemistry between Fiona and Michael was better than last season also. Although slightly predictable, a genuinely fun and interesting show.

Jeers to Jon and Kate plus 8 for Kate being such a bitch. She tries to take all the fun out of everything the kids try to do with her anal micro-managing. They went to make cupcakes this week and she was high-strung and obsessed with messes the whole time. LET THE KIDS HAVE FUN! And she is so mean to Jon, who seems like he tries to do just that, have fun. If only there was a button to mute only her.

And lastly,

Cheers to Secret Diary of a Call Girl for showing us that hookers have emotions and how to make a man your bitch, literally. I wasn't too sure about the show at first, but it has grown on me. I really like the main character, and the show is smart, funny and provocative.
